Dr. Cornell keynotes National School Safety Conference

Dr. Cornell delivered a keynote address to the National School Safety Conference in New Orleans on July 29 that focused on the need for a proactive approach to violence prevention through threat assessment. He presented scientific evidence in support of the CSTAG model and emphasized the value of threat assessment in reducing over-reactions to student misbehavior that have led to excessive use of school suspensions and disproportionate impact on minority students.
